Classes

We offer a range of classes for all ages and abilities. On this page, you can view an outline of the group classes that we offer. In addition to these, private 1-1 or small group classes can be arranged. Please email us to discuss.

Tiny Toes Ballet Classes (age 2.5-4.5 approximately):

Tiny Toes classes offer an initial introduction to ballet. Children develop physical strength and coordination, learning vital movement skills such as jumping, turning and hopping. Their imagination is nurtured with the help of inspiring music and a large range of props. They also learn how to cooperate with others, listening to one another and taking turns, all important skills to acquire before starting school.

Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus Ballet Classes (age 4.5+ approximately):

Our students begin more formal ballet training at approximately 4 and a half years of age. Our classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus, an internationally recognised awarding board and system of training. The syllabus is well-structured to ensure that students develop strong technique and performance, in a manner appropriate for their stage of physical and cognitive development.

Students progress through the Pre-Primary and Primary syllabi, before moving on to Grades 1-8. At each level, students work towards RAD examinations and/or class awards. We encourage all students to take part in these when invited to do so by their teacher as they provide an excellent sense of achievement. However, they are not compulsory if students prefer not to.

Modern Classes:

Modern dance is a high energy dance style often seen in musical productions. Students learn to jump, kick, leap and turn whilst developing their strength, stamina, flexibility and rhythm skills. Modern provides the ideal complement to ballet training.

Trial Classes:

All new students are invited to take part in a trial lesson initially, entirely free of charge. Upon application, we consider age and any previous dance experience to suggest a suitable class for your child. Trial lessons provide an opportunity for your child to get a taste of what our classes are all about before you make any commitment. They also provide a chance for the teacher to ensure that the level is appropriate.
